Church gives out money
The pastor gave out a sum of $125,000 which is 45 million in naira to his entire congregation - He advised them to use the money for the most important thing in their lives or give it to charity An American pastor identified as Paul Mussachio has handed out money to members of his church during a service on Sunday, March 4.

The incident happened at Preston Meadow Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas. The money was handed out to each person or family with a cheque ranging from $250 to $500 and $1000, it totaled the sum of $125,000. Mussachio told the members of his church to cash the money before Easter Sunday. He told the congregation to look for ways to make use of the money, either for something important in their lives or to those in need.

Mussachio said: “The instructions are pretty simple, whatever the greatest need is in your life right now, whatever God is placing on your heart, give to that.” A pamphlet was also given to members along with the money. The pamphlet read: “We are blessed to be a blessing, so look for those around you who are in need of this kind of blessing right now. People near or far to you, strangers, organizations close to your heart or our church.”

The message also included a Bible verse. Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”

A member who was happy and surprised about the incident shared the news on Twitter. See tweet below:

View image on Twitter Rene Walls @RWalls0313 Best surprise ever! Our church gave us money so we could use it to bless others. I can’t wait to figure out how to spend it to bless others. What a great lesson on giving for my kids. #ilovemychurch #prestonmeadowgives 6:21 PM - Mar 4, 2018 13 See Rene Walls's other Tweets

It was gathered that the money was donated by few members of the church after a similar experiment was performed with primary school kids in the church who were given much smaller amounts.

Pastor Mussachio further noted in a video that what matters is what people are to others not what they give others. He said: “Generosity, we believe, isn’t how much you have or how much you give, but it is who you are toward other people in life, and we wanted to live that out in a big way.”
